My Fitness Journey

Health and fitness has played a major role in my life the last 2.5 years. In 2019, I made a promise to myself that I would commit to improving my health, which meant changing my eating habits and incorporating more physical fitness into my life. My journey began slowly as I had a significant amount of weight to lose, but over the course of time, my one mile runs turned into two, three, and four mile runs. Today, I am able to run a solid 7 miles, that is something I could only dream of doing two years ago! Along with getting physically fit, I also completely changed the foods I ate, I stopped eating at food trucks and started meal prepping to have a successful week of healthy eating. Overtime, these new changes became my habits and a part of my daily routine and lifestyle. The decision to take that first step into a new, healthy way of life has given me a new lease on life and has enabled me to live a life filled with happiness and confidence. I am insanely proud of how much weight I have lost in the last 2.5 years, it feels amazing to feel amazing and to truly be my best self. It hasn’t been an easy journey but it has always been worth it. Whatever your fitness goals might be, my biggest piece of advice is to stay consistent and to appreciate yourself at every moment throughout your journey! Here’s to good health!
